Anti wear renovation plan for chute

In December 2021, our company discovered severe wear and tear on the grinding chute and belt conveyor discharge chute at a cement plant. Multiple iron plates had been welded to some areas for repair, and more than half of the steel plates in several areas had been worn off, causing the main steel plate of the chute to become thinner. This not only affects equipment production but may also endanger workers’ safety, and the situation is not optimistic.

After discovering this issue, our company proposed the following solutions through communication with the client and on-site inspections:

1.Some of the chutes are used in high-temperature environments. Our company adopts high-temperature resistant dovetail type wear-resistant ceramics. Swallowtail type ceramics are a new type of ceramic. By welding the dovetail strip onto the steel wall inside the chute, and then installing specially manufactured dovetail type ceramics on top of the dovetail strip, the dovetail strip can be protected inside the ceramic, forming a protective layer to prevent material impact and corrosion of the dovetail strip, causing ceramic detachment.

2.Most of the chutes use impact resistant spherical wear-resistant ceramics, which use the unique toughening formula of Xituo New Materials. At the same time, the surface shape in contact with the material is designed to be spherical, which can effectively decompose incoming material impact. Combined with advanced screw welding technology for installation and fixation, it can greatly ensure that the wear-resistant ceramics on the wear-resistant lining plate do not break or fall off under the impact of large materials.

The wear-resistant ceramic chute manufactured by our company was put into use in March 2022. As of October 2024, the equipment has been running well and no ceramic peeling or material accumulation has been found so far.
